Award Winning Jam Makers

Single Variety Co are passionate about creating a truly delicious range of award-winning chilli jams and fruit preserves, making everything themselves in their jam factory in Bristol. They source the best fruit and chillies they can find and then pack each jar full of it using much less sugar than traditional jams. They use just one variety in each of their products - showcasing the unique flavour, colour and aroma of that single variety. Hence the name!

Their premium preserves have been featured on ITV, Channel 4, in The Observer, BBC Good Food and more.

How we are working together

Single Variety Co will be supplying their delicious jams to the café that you can enjoy with toast or a range of pastries.

They have also been facilitating jam workshops within the prison, from which we have produced Jail Jars.

You’ll be able to eat this jam within the cafe, and we will also have jars for sale that you can take home, or give as gifts!

Why Single Variety Co. got involved with The Key

Ross Elliott, Director at Single Variety Co, told us: “As a local company, it’s always been important to us to look for ways to give back to the Bristol community. We think that the initiative from The Key is fantastic and we’re so excited to be involved. By running jam-making workshops with prisoners, not only are we providing The Key with a unique and delicious jam to sell, we will be providing prisoners with new skills that they can carry with them on their journey out of prison.”
